This postcard just reinforces my idea that debater-friends are real-friends. Even the ones you meet from abroad.

I hardly receive snail mail from anyone, aside from Yupangco (perfect pitch and their so-called "sales" and "promos"), and of course ate Nina and Worldvision (sometimes Fitness First mails as well. but I don't care much for the gym). So imagine my surprise when a postcard came for me today. From PaikYin, a.k.a. Jungle of MMU. I was wondering why she hasn't replied yet to my latest friendster-email. I thought we've run out of things to say to each other, which is often the case with most email-pals I meet through tournaments. Turns out she's busy in Kuching, Sarawak, at a music festival. :) She was inviting me to go, but of course a) finances won't permit, b) my mom will not allow me to and c) i'm worried we might run out of things to say to each other. hehehe. and yes, i am paranoid, and yes i can be painfully shy and quiet, unbelievable as it may seem to some.

But this changes things. She's obviously sincere with her invitation, and it does seem like quite the adventure. Hopefully UTMara wins the bid for Australs next year, so I can drop by and visit her in Malaysia (and finally be able to afford and attend my first australs ever).

*sigh*. People are great, Friends are great. Sometimes I tend to forget it, especially when I'm caught up with school or bumming around. But it's nice to be reminded once in a while. I wonder, how do I reply. No return address. -_-`. *sigh*

Now back to drafting my department's GOSM. this has got me energized. (and yes, i'm this shallow.)

another quiz on stat this tuesday, wish me luck. i was absent for 1 and a half weeks... and that was when the coverage of our coming exam was discussed. Thank God for my sweet seatmate, Tel and my thoughtful classmate Ella. Both provided me all the readings required for free and without my asking. ...A rude awakening--I'm not as sweet and thoughtful as I once was. -_-`. I can't remember when I last did something that wasn't required of me, and which wasn't for a close friend... hmmm. aksdjfldskjfgh. must do some soul-searching soon. for now i'll quit rambling and get back to work. cheerios.
